Effective date: June 3, 2026. ExitQuietly is an independent digital publication operated by a sole proprietor.
These terms apply to your purchase and use of products from ExitQuietly at exitquietly.com. By buying or downloading a product, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not purchase.
ExitQuietly sells premade digital products, currently a downloadable PDF guide that walks you through moving your email, files, and photos from Google to Proton. Products are delivered electronically as files. There is no physical product, no subscription, and no custom or consulting service unless explicitly stated.
Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy handles payment, billing, and any applicable sales tax or VAT, and its name may appear on your payment statement. Your purchase is also subject to Lemon Squeezy's own terms.
When you buy a guide, you receive a personal, non-transferable license to use it for your own purposes. You may not resell it, redistribute it, share your download with others, or reproduce it for distribution. The content, design, and materials remain the intellectual property of ExitQuietly.
The guide is educational information, not legal, financial, or professional advice. ExitQuietly is an independent publication and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Proton AG, Google LLC, or any other company named in the materials. Third-party tools change over time, and steps or screens may differ from what is described.
You are responsible for your own accounts and data. The guide is built around a confirm-first, delete-last method specifically so that nothing is removed until a verified copy exists. You agree to follow that approach, keep your own backups, and verify each step before deleting anything from any account.
Guides may be updated as third-party tools change, and updates are provided to buyers at no extra cost. These terms may be revised from time to time; the effective date above reflects the current version.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [Washington], United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Questions about these terms: hello@exitquietly.com.
The goal is your migration done right, not your money. If the guide does not help you, you can have your money back.
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, or you cannot complete your migration using the guide, you may request a full refund within 30 days of purchase. You do not need a complicated reason. If it did not help you, that is enough.
Because Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record, approved refunds are issued through Lemon Squeezy back to your original payment method. Processing time depends on your bank or card provider.
This guide is a digital download, so it cannot be physically returned. The refund above is offered voluntarily as a satisfaction guarantee. Requests made well outside the 30-day window, or clear abuse of the guarantee, may be declined at our discretion.
ExitQuietly is a privacy-focused project, and the site is built to live up to that. This policy explains, plainly, what is and is not collected.
If you enter your email to get the free checklist or newsletter, that email address is collected and stored by Buttondown, the service that runs the list. It is used only to send you what you signed up for. There is an unsubscribe link in every email, and you can leave at any time. Email addresses are never sold or rented.
Purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy as the merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy collects the payment and billing information needed to complete your order and to handle tax, under its own privacy policy. ExitQuietly receives only limited order details, such as your name, email address, and which product you bought, in order to deliver the product and provide support. ExitQuietly never sees or stores your full card details.
To understand what is working, the site uses Umami, a cookieless, privacy-respecting analytics tool. It records anonymous, aggregate information such as page views, referring links, and rough country-level location, with no cookies and no personal identifiers. It is not used to build a profile of you and shares nothing with advertisers.
The website is hosted by Fastmail. Like any web host, it may process basic technical request information needed to serve the page. ExitQuietly does not add any advertising tracking on top of that.
The only third parties involved are the ones below, each used for a single clear purpose:
Each maintains its own privacy policy governing the data it handles.
You can unsubscribe from the email list at any time. To ask what information is held about you, or to request deletion, email hello@exitquietly.com and it will be handled promptly.
This site and its products are intended for adults and are not directed at children under 16.
If this policy changes, the effective date at the top will be updated. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
